Specific Maintenance: Produces very few suckers compared to the species. Pull up the occasional suckers as they appear, to prevent colonization. Protect from deer.
General Maintenance: Regular watering, Structural Pruning (every 5-10 yrs), Annual balanced fertilizer (May-June, slow-release).

Benefits:
Good growth rate, great cold-hardiness, wind tolerant, drought tolerant, no major disease or pest concerns, soil adaptable, storm resistant.
Drawbacks:
Must protect from deer. Some suckering, but in this clone it’s very manageable.
